+AS Fire & Safety designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of specialist vehicle rooftop ladder and equipment stowage systems, engineered to improve operational efficiency, crew safety and manual handling for Fire and Rescue Services.
With over 50 years’ experience, our traditional gantry packages have become the UK industry standard and continue to be supplied to vehicle manufacturers and integrators worldwide. Their modular, configurable design enables each system to be tailored to meet the most demanding operational and bodywork requirements.
All +AS gantry systems deploy from the rear of the vehicle, ensuring safer operation in tight streets and preserving access to side roller shutters and pump bays. They support +AS Fire & Safety ladders as well as compatible ladders from other manufacturers.
Beam Gantries
+AS Beam gantries provide a versatile, reliable solution for rooftop ladder and equipment storage, offering controlled deployment from ground level. Where access to the roof of the vehicle’s body work is not permitted due to working at height regulations, the roof stowage – traditionally ladders – must be brought down to the operator. Available in manual, assisted and powered formats, beam gantries are configured to suit the appliance layout, ladder sizes and operational preferences of each Fire & Rescue Service.
Beam gantries are commonly used to carry the main centre ladder, with additional ladders or equipment positioned at higher levels on either side of the vehicle.

PowerBeam™ Gantries
The +AS Fire & Safety PowerBeam™ range represents the next evolution in rooftop equipment deployment, delivering powered retrieval and stowage to significantly improve firefighter safety and reduce manual handling risks. The advantage of a flat-top body design means additional water/foam capacity, greater stowage for kit and equipment, and also supports clean cab efforts as there is additional space to store post incident kit, i.e. dirty in need of cleaning/decontamination.
PowerBeam™ gantries enable controlled, powered deployment of ladders, equipment boxes and specialist loads to meet fleet requirements, while also supporting modern clean cab and flat roof appliance designs.
